Disneyland and California Adventure

Disneyland

May 6, 2014. Back to the happiest place in the world for L’s first visit! She is almost 3 years old, and still free admission. We stayed at the Red Lion Hotel nearby. She had her Sleeping Beauty dresses on (“make it pink! make it blue!”) while we adventured around the theme park, and took breaks as needed. We brought pins on a lanyard for trading.

We went on the Jungle Cruise ride, Alice in Wonderland spinning tea cups, her favorite Dumbo, and rode the last Casey Junior train at Main Street before closing. I kept coming back for more of the pineapple dole whips. She found a Dumbo stuffy at one of the shops and we had to get it for her!

California Adventure

May 7, 2014. Today’s dress was the yellow Belle gown. Miss L went to Cars Land with Tow Mater, the splash pad at A Bug’s Life, Santa Monica Pier carousels, and more. She had a good nap in so Daddy and Mommy were able to go on a couple of rides using the “Rider Switch” passes.

I got to ride on Soarin’ (my favorite ride imported to Disney World), and the Hollywood Tower of Terror. Many of our favorite rides were closed for refurbishment. We stayed for the light up parade at night. She absolutely loved Cars Land where she recognized all the characters.
