First Tooth Fairy Visit
This kid has been talking about her tooth being loose and wiggly for over a week now, yet when Daddy finally pulled it out this morning because it was bothering her, I was still not prepared for this day. L was super excited for her first ever visit from the Tooth Fairy! She wrote a letter letting the Tooth Fairy know what happened with her tooth and why it was there under her pillow, and asked for a whole dollar. Lucky for her, the first tooth is extra special so she gets more for it… or maybe it was Sunday when we don’t go shopping and a dollar bill was nowhere to be found.
We kept it simple with a very cool handwritten tiny reply to L’s letter (complete with teeny postage, glitter envelope, pink sparkles, and a local tooth fairy I borrowed named Sparkle Fang). It came with a rolled up $5 bill tied with the tiniest ribbon around. I love the thrill of sneaking into my kids’ bedroom and performing ninja switch skills! A second tooth is loose already, so maybe next time we’ll work on some origami money in the magical shape of a basket or butterfly, and a better way to make all the glitter stick.
