Burger Restaurant Mother-Daughter Date

Our mother-daughter dates this year continue! This month we had a special sit-down dining experience somewhere we wouldn’t normally go. L chose to have juicy burgers because she was famished after we visited with Baby Henry at the hospital. The restaurant “Backdoor Brgr” was only a few minutes away, I knew from experience that the food was delicious, and I had never taken her there before so she was in for a treat!

Next time I will set a bigger budget for a restaurant date. L doesn’t eat out often, but when she does she likes to go all out. She got her own entree, a special drink, onion rings to share, and if we weren’t bursting full at the end she wanted dessert, too, haha! I respect splurging on these rare occasions. She works so hard and is always thinking of others and being my big helper, I’m seriously amazed by her. Why prevent her from fully enjoying herself? I wanted to treat her.

She was her open, relaxed, happy self. She ordered a Poco Bueno Burger which had guacamole, jalapeño cream cheese spread, pepper jack and Muenster cheese, roasted poblano pepper, and fresh pico de gallo. I ate my entire Grumpy Claire Burger, which I had my first time here because I’ve discovered that I’m back to liking onions! My burger had sautéed apples and onions in a savory caramel sauce, honey mustard, dubliner cheese, and bacon. The onion rings were really good, too!

L says that she wants to come back sometime, but that next time we are sharing because it was way too much food for us to order separately.
