About Our Family This Year

This year we welcomed a new baby, Henry Theodore! Only 3 chapters left to finish reading the Book of Mormon as a family for the first time. As a family the furthest we traveled was camping in Goblin Valley and hiking Little Wild Horse Canyon.

Jer: Taught Political Science and American Wars, and brushing up on his Spanish to teach Latinos in Action (college prep, service, leadership). Traveled to American historic sites on a Boston field study.

Kat: Grew a baby! Became a NICU Mama for the 4th time. Pumped 775+ sessions. Wrote and prayed and visited every day of our long NICU stay. Read 75+ books this year.

Henry: Born at 28 weeks in August, our little warrior weighed 2lbs 9oz and braved 113 days in the NICU. He came home December 15 with a feeding tube, and we’re following up on his medical needs. Won “Cutest Ever Award” at home.

Lillian (14): 9th grade in Jr High. Enjoys Art, playing viola in the orchestra, and her first year of Seminary. Loved FSY for the spiritual growth, dances, and making friends. Just got called as Young Women’s class president at church.

Fletcher (10): 4th grade. Got reading glasses this year. Enjoys soccer, piano and music, video games, and funny graphic novels. Discovered an affinity for Poetry and writing his own songs. Student of the Month for Clarity & Self Control.

Walker (8): 3rd grade. Got baptized in June! First pair of glasses. Reads history graphic novels and nonfiction about Medieval history. Enjoys building with legos, crafting weapons and armor out of cardboard, and drawing in pencil. Student of the Month for Critical Thinking.

Roxy (42 dog years): Adjusting surprisingly well to having a Baby around. Made a new best friend, Lorie, who walked her daily while we were at the hospital. Insists she is the queen of the house when we’re all out.
