Let’s Play
This girl. Every day I pick her up from the school bus stop, and she asks if she’s “just in time” to watch her favorite show Doc McStuffins. Then she grabs herself an after-school snack, puts on her cape, and chills! It used to be princess dresses and crowns, and now it’s this… Batgirl.

I’m really enjoying the nuances of seeing my little kids grow and change. Fletcher’s favorite books were the Corduroy adventure books, and now he loves to sit and laugh when I make the noises for Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See.

He loves pretending to mix imaginary foods (especially soups), and letting you taste a sip off the ladle. He also loves when I hold him in the hallway singing a soft song before his morning nap.
Kids grow so quickly… I catch myself getting frustrated that I can’t do the dishes or get a side project done because the kids just want to play with me, and then I realize they won’t always want to play with me… They won’t always need me when they need to take a nap… These quiet moments together will someday end or change, and I will miss them dearly. So live in the moment, and PLAY!
