Merry Christmas 2025

It’s Baby Henry’s first Christmas!! We’re ecstatic to have him home for the 2nd week and to celebrate as a family. We were gifted a nativity advent, and opened them all up and read the accompanying scriptures on Christmas Eve. It was a lovely way of remembering the birth of the Savior. During the scripture about the wise men giving gifts, we opened our Christmas pajamas.

The kids were adorable in the green and navy plaid. Next time I’ll order them on Black Friday because afterwards it gets way harder to find matching or similar designs in the needed sizes. It would have been cool if Baby matched, too, but he turned out cute standing out in his snowman pajamas.

Merry Christmas

It was a unique Christmas because Secret Santa rang the doorbell and left large wrapped gifts at our door! We unwrapped a big box each of diapers and wipes for Henry, a personal note and Target gift card for each of the kids, a beautiful Ravensburger puzzle of a hobbit hole that we can’t wait to enjoy for Jer and I, and a couple of board games for our family! Cover your Kingdom and Happy Dinosaurs.

These gifts were hits:

  • “The Bag of Bags” as Jeremy says
  • Gel Blasters
  • Acrylic Paint supplies
  • Collector’s Deluxe Edition Book of Howl’s Moving Castle
  • Watercolor painting and ceramic cup by Lily
  • Fleece lined joggers, athletic hoodies, beanie
  • Cash

Santa brought the boys Nerf guns, and for Lily a quill pen with ink. The sweets left in my stocking were the best! Jer found me a special bag of Dubai Chocolate and it’s my newest obsession. A few other stocking surprises: underwear for W, magnetic poetry tiles for F, and Darn Tough socks for Jer/L/me.

Lily made a gorgeous watercolor painting of George Washington crossing the Delaware, and framed it for her brother W who loves the Revolutionary War. Jer was so impressed and has already claimed it for his classroom for when W leaves for his mission someday. L also crafted a ceramic mug that has a video game controller on the front and says “Game On” for her brother F. Lily loved her acrylic paint set from my folks so much she hugged it for a minute after she opened it. I don’t think I’ve ever seen her do that before.

The boys LOVED their gel blasters from my parents, and playing with each other and Jer outside. The gel balls fatten up with water. They are having so much fun!! This was the highlight of their Christmas.

The glider chair I bought for the shared Master bedroom / nursery was my gift. Jer also got me a big fancy To Do List; he knows it helps me to not get overwhelmed.
