6 Fall Break Bucket List Ideas for Family Fun
“What are we going to do for Fall Break?” It’s not every day we get such fine weather and free time together, so I made a little bucket list of outings and ways we might make break special. Check out previous years here.
#1 Fall Dance Festival

Moving and grooving is a wonderful way to bond and have fun during Fall Break! A tradition we look forward to! My boys were so excited to show me the moves they have been working hard on. F performed a partner dance to “Oh Johnny Oh” in western wear. I loved this photo captured of W doing his favorite move the “Charlie Brown” from the Cha Cha Slide! And of course we sang and danced all week.
#2 Pumpkin Patch

Must have pumpkins for October! We visited our local U-pick farm and chose one each to carve later. I looked for a small one I could share with baby Henry. Jer chooses his pumpkin based on what face he visualizes for it. We also got a bunch of veggies for cooking over the break, as we’re trying to increase our fiber haha. Jer made fajitas, sautéed squash with mushrooms and onions, and peppers for chili during the season.

#3 Mini Golf Mother-Son Outing
F and I went on a very fun outing in the picturesque Orem area for some friendly competition and reconnecting. Check it out here.

#4 Renaissance Faire
This was W’s special date with Jer! All the rest of us crashed it 😉 We spent all day amongst the festivities and saw armored knights combating and jousting.

#5 Fall Tea Party
L’s special time with me was putting together this tea party and enjoying all the treats and company with our family including my sister who stayed over. We rarely get to bake these days, so even something as simple as apple tarts was quality time together.

#6 Fall Leaves Scenic Drive
Before school, the boys and my sister and I piled into the car for a sojourn to the Fall leaves in our canyon. My sister lives in the city downtown where there isn’t much of this natural phenomenon and visual masterpiece. There was light rain on our drive and she was able to see some of the autumnal colors as we drove in the mountains. I enjoyed being surrounded by this beauty immensely. As I was the one driving, there are no photos but I hold it in my memory for a (metaphorically) rainy day.
Love, Kat
