How a Teacher Celebrates

Today we are celebrating that my teacher-husband passed a very important test and can now officially be licensed to teach! I mean, he’s only been teaching as a job for 4 years now so… I’m glad he can actually teach now haha. Seriously though, the hoops you have to jump through. I feel like tests are a part of life and high expectations are normal, but I am starting to see the gravity of my husband’s test anxiety.

He graduated from the teaching program and has years of practical experience, so he didn’t understand what taking this test years into the field would prove. He’s been dreading this test for 3 years because it’s not only tied to his job but also his career—no pressure or anything. When he got the results back he said a giant weight was lifted from his shoulders. I’d say he deserves a nice day out with the family.

Breakfast at Jim’s

We opted for our first time out for breakfast in months—and Jer’s first time having potatoes since he transitioned from the Keto diet to a low carb diet. Bring on the hash browns!

On this Saturday our family outing started with Breakfast at Jim’s in American Fork. We met with Jer’s brother’s family at the Aquarium so our kids could play with their cousins.

F was delighted by the butterflies landing on him! The kids enjoyed their adventures on the bridge and rainforest enclosure. There was also a new area with deep sea submarines and info about the deep sea creatures.
