DIY Little Passports: Kenya
I cried—a lot—while reading the materials before approving them for this package. Stories about kindness, giving, gratitude, making a difference, following your dreams, unexpected friendships, and what it truly means to mourn with those that mourn… I hope my Little Explorer is as touched by discovering the beautiful culture and people of Kenya with our homemade World Explorer’s Club! My Little Explorer wears her souvenir everyday to school (it helps that it’s her favorite color and matches most of her current clothing). It’s been a busy month so we haven’t gotten around to the activity yet. More details below!

How It’s Going
The lullaby CD was not a very good fit for my energy-loving kids, I think I was expecting something more like Lion King with drums and big choirs? The songs were performed beautifully but all super similar tempo and not much variation in wording or melody (because they are lullabies of course!) so my boys did not enjoy it and L didn’t even get to hear it. They did, however, enjoy the animals! We have great plans for a delicious and healthy stew inspired by the dishes of Kenya, and will talk more about the books we read. Thanks for joining us!
