Lily’s First Temple Trip

“I love to see the temple, I’m going there someday…”

Our first time with L at the Payson Temple was over seven years ago when they had just completed building, and invited the public to tour all the rooms for an Open House.

Now we were able to return together after she received her youth temple recommend. It’s been something she’s looked forward to since she was teeny tiny. We held each other’s hands tightly. Her Dad was able to baptize her, and I was able to accompany her for my first time doing baptisms in like 14 years. I felt the spirit so strongly as I watched her and as we shared these sacred moments. She is so radiant, I’m in awe sometimes of all she is and what she brings to our lives. Service is something I have complicated feelings about and sometimes lots of worry, but L loves serving all those around her and sharing her time and talents always. Here at the temple I leave better knowing I was where I was supposed to be.

We are so pleased with our daughter’s desire to serve, and her hard work in all she does. What an amazing young lady, I love her with all my heart.

We look forward to each month this year when we can return with her to the temple.
