Fun with Lily
I’m 18 weeks and feeling much more vibrant and able to work. The nice weather has definitely helped, as well as taking two half-days off to be with Lily and plan special Mommy-daughter dates with her. I have SO much fun with that little girl. On Monday we had a picnic together, and when I picked her up from school early she was so excited for whatever adventure we would have. She helped me make the food and put the basket together, we picked a spot in the park, and after we stuffed ourselves on snacks we swam at the recreation center for 2 hours! That’s the life.
The next day when I picked her up at noon, she played with Jack and we went to Kangaroo Zoo, a play-place with huge inflatables the kids can slide on and climb and jump on. They had a blast, and afterwards we went to my doctor appointment (which she gets super excited for to hear the baby’s heartbeat) and went to Joann’s where she picked all of her own pink fabric so we could make little cushions for her chairs. We spent the evening sewing together, she helped me stuff them with fluff and was so excited to see the process from her idea to her tea table. Today when I picked her up late from school, she asked me what we were going to do or where we were going to go, and I felt so bad that I had no answer for her! I had so much work to do and catch up on
I take my antihistamine almost every two days now and am trying to ween myself off of it. My stress level has been normalizing, I think Heavenly Father is helping us financially because I don’t know how somehow the bills get paid every month when I’m not actively watching it. I just spent $48 to see a Little Mermaid show at a theater with Lily this summer using the gift card that I got from Career Step during Christmas. Last week I spent $250 on an annual family membership to the Aquarium! I still think about all the things that are coming up with the lease and owing money on our car and needing things fixed or registered or renewed, but it doesn’t bother me as much now. Robert is looking for land that we can build on. Jeremy received four glowing recommendation letters from his principal, department head, one of his student’s parents, and one of his colleagues. I am quite proud of him!
