Christmas 2021
We arrived home from our trip to California on Christmas Eve. It was so good to be home together! L and the boys got to work on her Lego kit from Grandma and Grandpa together, Jeremy made a delicious dinner of fish and asparagus, and the kids got to open their Christmas pajamas. F and W got Star Wars themed pjs, and L received her first pair of collared cotton pjs.

Santa brought F the meerkat stuffy he longed for from the zoo, a karaoke microphone for L, and W’s beloved pirate ship Lego set (which served as his Big Gift).
We kept gifts mostly small this year, with one Big Gift for each of the kids. L’s big gift was a Year of Mother-Daughter Dates. F wanted “a real dog” for Christmas but I’m not sure if we should count that. He got a Batman Lego set. For the kids’ “Something to Read” gift, they received Dinotopia (F), Dragonology (L), and Pirateology (W). Jer and I exchanged small things in our stockings, and his hiking shovel and bidet were mostly for our future outdoor adventures. He did get a Swiss Army knife!

Our 10yo girl loves all things space science and rocks/gems, especially jewelry. I found her beautiful solar system necklace on Etsy, and loved that it included a tiny Pluto on the extender chain. Pluto is actually her favorite dwarf planet. The beads chosen for each planet and celestial body were so well thought out, even the crackles on the sun and the wooden ring around Saturn. I wanted to get myself a matching one after!
