How to Rock Summer Break: Part 4 – Family Time
Last time we checked out a “beach” and playgrounds. This post has some activities we did as a family this summer from a kid-friendly hike to visiting a historic building, and finding some free local events.
Historic Courthouse
Summer is a great time to explore new places as a family! We checked out the Provo Court building which was full of beautiful marble columns.

Hiking in Spanish Fork
We tried taking our kids hiking for the first time without backpacks to carry them in. Jer and I ended up giving piggyback rides all the way up for the boys, it was tough! The views sure were majestic!

Free Slurpee Day
If you live by a 7-11 gas station, on July 11th you might have a Free Slurpee day! We look forward to this day since it’s one of the only times I let my kids sugar up on their very own cup hahaha. Definitely a treat to beat the heat!
Petting Zoo
Our library hosts a free yearly petting zoo event, and our animal-loving kiddos were so happy to go, even if we had to wait. It was pretty crowded and I felt like the animals were overwhelmed with all the little hands grabbing at them.

Check out other activities with kids to have a great summer here and here!
